E-Cure

A Leading Edge Technology, Clear Concrete Curing Compound

Developed to cure concrete as well as resolve compatibility issues related to flooring adhesives.

E-Cure is a spray applied concrete cure, hardener and dustproofer. It penetrates and forms a temporary membrane to cure, densify, harden and dustproof concrete essential for proper strength development.

E-Cure meets the moisture retention of ASTM C-309 on hard-troweled concrete surfaces.

Features & Benefits

  • Non-yellowing, does not alter natural color of concrete.
  • Non-flammable/VOC Compliant/odorless.
  • Will not inhibit adhesion of secondary coatings, topping, or adhesives designed for concrete.
  • Resists acids, oils, greases, salts and tire marks.
  • Available in 20 litre pails.

Uses

Curing, hardening and dustproofing concrete. Can be used to cure potable water structures.

Coverage

  • Hard Troweled Finish: 15-20 sq metres/litre
  • Broom or Float Finish: 7-10 sq metres/litre
  • Rough Finish: 5-7 sq metres/litre
  • Vertical Surface: 10-12 sq metres/litre

Extend application rate to 25 sq metres/litre on extremely hard trowelled, burnished concrete floors (ie Supermarket Projects)

Application

Apply immediately after final finishing operations and after the bleed water had receded. Brush out puddles and runs. Over application and puddling will leave white crystals, which must be removed by immediately flushing the surface with water and scrubbing.

May be applied with sprayer, brush or roller. Spraying provides superior results. Application temperatures 5°C to 30°C.

Protect metal, glass, painted and brick surfaces from E-Cure. If accidentally misapplied, wash with clean water at once. For aged concrete, surface must be free of dirt and all other foreign matter. Surface should be dry to permit maximum penetration.

Shelf Life

Shelf life of E-Cure in the original tightly closed containers is two years from the date of manufacture. Do not allow accumulation of water, dirt or other contaminates.

Limitations

Protect from freezing.  Allow new concrete to cure 28 days prior to application of any paint or coating. Coating/Adhesive manufactures surface preparation instructions must be followed to achieve proper adhesion. Avoid contact with glass, aluminum, or other glazed or finished surfaces. Where contact has occurred, immediately wipe with a damp cloth or flush with water.
